Peter, Juliann and Nathan join the team

AMPYR Distributed Energy (ADE), a leading investor in onsite sustainable energy solutions, has further strengthened its growing workforce with the appointment of three new team members. Bringing significant experience from across the renewable energy industry, the new appointments aim to build on ADE’s extensive technical and commercial skillset and enable the acceleration of project funding.

Chartered chemical engineer Peter Hall joins the business as asset management director. With 15 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector, Hall has worked across engineering, consulting and asset management roles for brands including Zestec Renewable Energy, AFP Assets and Glenmont Partners.

In his new position at ADE, Hall will be responsible for the strategic direction and optimisation of the company’s energy assets. Alongside monitoring generation outputs and managing maintenance schedules, he will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and driving operational efficiencies.

Alongside Hall, Juliann Canty has taken up the role of technical manager. Joining the business from commercial and real estate firm Syzygy Consulting, Canty has a proven track record in implementing solar projects, leading teams through periods of rapid expansion and delivering high-quality project outcomes.

Working closely with ADE’s development director Neil Borrill-Carroll, Canty will play an important role in identifying developers and contractors. By leveraging her technical expertise, Canty will work closely with partners to optimise technical design and ensure projects are developed and built in line with ADE’s exacting quality standards.

Joining Hall and Canty, Nathan Docker has joined the business as commercial manager. With extensive experience across the solar value chain, Docker takes up his new role having spent the past six years at EY’s Energy Corporate Finance Practice, sourcing and negotiating PPAs for many of the largest businesses operating in the UK and Europe.

Docker will use his knowledge and expertise to help businesses navigate the onsite energy generation landscape and exploit the potential of behind-the-meter solutions.

Commenting on the appointments, John Behan, CEO of ADE, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Peter, Juliann, and Nathan to the ADE team. Their capabilities will accelerate our progress towards meeting ambitious growth targets and their addition is testament to the leading role that we’re playing in the distributed energy market.

“We’re on a mission to harness the power of onsite renewable generation and transform business energy resilience. Our ambition is to put solar panels on every commercial roof in Europe, enabling commercial decarbonisation and driving important progress towards achieving a net zero future.

“These new appointments are the first of a number planned over the coming months as we continue to build expertise in the team to support our continued growth.”
